Prerna Seva Trust, located within the Hamidia Hospital campus and affiliated with Gandhi Medical College, celebrated its 32nd Foundation Day with dignity and enthusiasm. The Trust was established on June 7, 1994, on the birth anniversary of Late Sardar Shri Dayal Singh Saluja Ji.
For the past 32 years, the Trust has been rendering selfless service to hospitalized patients and their attendants. It provides a wide range of facilities, including tea and breakfast, meals twice a day, milk and porridge, clothing, medicines, wheelchairs, walkers, assistance for medical investigations, a night shelter, ambulance services, and e-rickshaw transportation for patients. In addition, two drinking water kiosks are being operated within the hospital premises. Attendants staying at the night shelter are also provided with complimentary breakfast and meals twice a day.
The chief guests of the Foundation Day celebration were Dr. Rakesh Malviya, Professor at Gandhi Medical College and President of the Madhya Pradesh Medical Teachers Association, and Dr. Jeevan Singh Meena. The guests were welcomed with saplings as a token of respect.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Malviya stated that Prerna Seva Trust has been providing compassionate support to needy patients and their families for many years. He emphasized that the Trust plays a significant role wherever assistance is required beyond the scope of government arrangements. He further remarked that he had been witnessing the Trust’s dedicated services since his days as a medical student and was pleased to see the organization continuing its work with the same spirit of commitment.
On this occasion, Samnvay Group, Bhopal, and Deeni Welfare Society, Aurangabad (Maharashtra), were honoured with mementos. In recognition of their exceptional and noteworthy services, trophies and appreciation awards were presented to the Trust’s Treasurer Shri Vijay Kumar Jain, Shri Kanhaiyalal Godani, Smt. Lalita Khavya, Shri Tarachand Jain, and Shri Jagjit Singh (Pinte Ji).
The programme was conducted by Trustee Shri Shiv Mohan Mathur. He stated that the objective of the Trust is to provide service, support, and humanitarian care to needy patients and their attendants visiting the hospital. At the conclusion of the programme, the Trust’s Secretary, Smt. Kamaldeep Saluja, delivered the vote of thanks.
A large number of donors, social workers, distinguished citizens, and members of the Trust were present at the समारोह, making the occasion a memorable celebration of service and compassion.
